Predicting the 2014 FIFA World Cup

Trying to predict the 2014 FIFA World Cup might be the easiest it’s been in years…..or maybe not.  Brazil is the favorite by quite a long shot in betting terms.  So if you’re getting in on some 2014 FIFA World Cup Betting action, take your boys in the green and yellow.  But then again, anything can happen on the field.

Let’s take a look at why they are such a favorite this year.  For starters they are playing in Brazil, and if you’ve been to an international soccer game, you know what the crowds are like.  Brazil will be playing on a different level in front of home crowds.  Another big reason is coach
Luiz Felipe Scolari.  Apparently this guy knows what he’s talking about.  Many analyst think the Brazil team is just average in skill, but that coach Solari specializes in getting teams and players prepared to peak on schedule.  Not a bad thing, not bad at all.  Their special goal scoring phenom is a man they call Neymar.  Neymar was the MVP of the World Cup warm up tournament, and looks to keep it going when the time comes.

Germany and Argentina follow up Brazil in the 2nd and 3rd spots, both at 5/1 odds.  Not being a huge soccer guy, I personally would still bet on Lionel Messi and Argentina.  He’s wildly known as the best player in the world, and 5/1 isn’t bad odds on my dollar.  Many people are predicting all three top teams to get to the semi-finals with England playing Brazil, and Germany matching up with Argentina.  That would be a dream come true for any big soccer fan.  Get ready for sparks to fly in Brazil.
